Six dollars.
A mere six dollars, I gave to the homeless stranger, sitting on the floor.
I wasn’t even sure if they were homeless, I didn’t even know how to ask it in their language, but I gave it away just in case.
I went to cross the street, but turned back to see they were in tears, and nearly dropped down to the ground bowing in gratitude to me.
I returned the favor, and bowed the same way they did.
They bowed again, and again. Each a different manner, each just as genuine and heartfelt.
I went to give them a hug, they were timid, as if it had been ages since their last.
But, we hugged.
I told them, as they were bowing again and sobbing, ”我的朋友，my friend. It’s ok. It’s ok.”
They looked up to me, with the biggest, warmest smile I had ever seen. And I went for a handshake, and they shook my hand back.
We smiled at one another.

If merely a bond, a connection in some manner, even if chemical or lower level such as weak / strong bonds, fundamental forces - a tie between one and another could perhaps be that one thing “aware” of the other - perhaps bonds are no different than awareness itself - self awareness is a bond with oneself? Recursive? Capable of infinite depth? Not sure. Perhaps larger or specific structuring (per node positions and orientations) of sub structures e.g. neurons, permit for this self reflexive bond…. What does that even mean though if not the intermediary bonds between neurons? Not the energy itself bc you can have no electricity flowing between neurons, pronounced dead, brought back and it starts again - if panpsychism is true, surely must be the neurons themselves or perhaps the energy itself that forms the neurons, rather than the energy flowing between the neurons - perhaps the energy of the more permanent / longer lasting neurons themselves AND the temporary energy flowing between them - fluid state of awareness, consciousness is a river - continuous now - you could also lose half ur brain tho and still be conscious and self aware - at what point does this self reflexiveness disappear if ever? Unique per person or creature? Maybe the barebones unit, null, is “experiencing” thus “aware” of nothingness…. Still technically aware - can 0 have a “bond” with 0 itself? As the sea of infinite potentiality, perhaps that potentiality all at once becomes manifest and that’s each and anything that is…. Including the potentiality for consciousness? But that still evades the root cause for consciousness, WHY consciousness? If not an intrinsic property of existence, but still…. What is the cause?
Perhaps consciousness has no cause, other than the moment before, ad infinitum - if it’s intertwined w existence itself and we can’t find the start nor end of existence bc it never began and it never ends, it’s always just been the Now - then that means the same dilemma resides for consciousness as well, at least for its core cause / logic……. The Now remembers everything before (even if you forget it all, the you now or even a trillion lives from now are still exactly as they are based on every single moment and decision before, in a way, an eternal memory - and even if everything somehow vanished out of nowhere, it will still have always happened, so still to always be “remembered”) because it is affected and forged by all the Now’s before, but really there is no before or after, time is a construct, it is the same thing fluctuating, and that same thing is us, collectively as one and individually as many and in different formations over time, experiencing itself, being itself, predictable in some ways and seemingly unpredictable in other ways perhaps genuine free will to be found from emergence thru trillions of quantum superpositions forming the temporary self e.g. the brain, matter not created nor destroyed, energy is eternal, everything isn’t flowing because it IS flow itself, it isn’t changing or moving along time because it IS change and it IS time itself - death and birth are a lie, only change, which is what we are, is true - we search for “God” not realizing we’ve all been it the whole time, we search for anything and everything else until we turn the eye to ourself and uncover that we never needed to search in the first place to be just as wonderfully meaningful and beautiful and infinite in infinite ways, all of us, all things

Really it’s not abt being the same or assimilating, quite the contrary - an adaptive self sufficient flourishing ecosystem, in nature for example that can exist millions of years, everything keeps changing, everyone is different, but collectively stable - if you want individual and collective stability even further, then on our version of nature and with the noosphere, awareness and thus empathy are vital for it to work - a different kind of collective stability, a coexistence and harmony w nature as well as a net benefit - out of Love, and an understanding of Love and logic and critical thought and empathy and etc and taught to everyone since day 1 - not to mind control them, but to show we are in this together and to love urself and others - in the ideal world we all can just do what we wanna do, make art and all that stuff in peace and without ruining our home too, and being kind and calm and patient with one another and embracing our differences and recognizing difference IS beauty

If we don’t destroy ourselves and go extinct - I hope someday and maybe within my lifetime that we will realize this stuff and enter an era of transcendence and harmony

This is true, ignorance is bliss and stable but for the individual, I’m talking abt the most stable state for both the individual and the collective in which the individual is reliant on and intertwined/codependent with

Reminds me of Warden Two as well - though, I’d argue that in an assimilated society like that, rebellion is still inevitable since change is the only constant and ppl will realize they’re being played and humans don’t like that bc we literally have a part of our brain that hardwires rebellious tendencies into us lol - for a diff structure entirely such as it is in pluribus or a hive mind alien species, sure thing; but humans as creatures aren’t built for that atm I’d say, and so our true genuine most stable state isn’t a hive mind but rather wisdom and sympathy and awareness at the individual level that mimics hive mind interconnections but still enables and in fact embraces individuality at the same time WHILST being aware of the fact we too are one! :3
Nothing is nothing if there is no form, but it’s so cool we do have form - yet, are still the formless at the same time

The walls of your room. The air you’re breathing. The clouds in the sky. The particles floating amidst the vacuum of space. Celestial bodies seemingly endless distance away. The soil beneath your feet. All of them, in likely infinite past lives, were your sworn enemies, your beloved friends and family, and cosmic lovers.
So too, do they set the scene for more stories. So too, were you, and so too will you again.
For all of it, is you. The you we are. The we you are.
So too shall you forget this fact, as sure as it is you shall remember - yet always in a new way, and always a fresh telling, a fresh being, being you.
